Joy in the Mourning

There could be no resurrection if there wasn't first a crucifixion. No doubt this is what we witness Jesus experience as His death on Good Friday led to death's defeat on Resurrection Sunday. And yet in this, we witness that, because of Jesus sin and sorrow do not have the final say, weeping is not the final word, and the pain of death gives way to the promise of deliverance. The crucifixion was horrible, and yet it was necessary for our holiness. And in this we are reminded that though there was mourning on Good Friday, Easter Sunday reminds us why there was also a reason for Joy In The Mourning.
