Be Humble
Be humble.
Drawing from Jesus’ parable of the Pharisee and the tax collector (Luke 18:9–14) and the sobering warning of Matthew 7:21–23, Pastor Randy calls us to examine our own lives—not just our words, but the actual evidence of a relationship with Jesus. Are we pursuing Him? Reading His Word? Loving Him by keeping His commands? Or simply assuming we’re “good” because we say the right things?
He reminds us that pride comes naturally, but humility is a choice. And when we choose to lay down our lives, our credit, and even our compliments at the feet of Jesus, God lifts us up in ways we could never lift ourselves.
This sermon will challenge you, comfort you, and ultimately point you closer to the only One who can calm your storms, strengthen your spirit, and speak the greatest words we will ever hear: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
