MEET A NEED

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

We are excited to partner with the Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry.  The Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry reaffirms its commitment to feeding our neighbors and expresses gratitude to our donors. To continue supporting our mission, we encourage you to get involved: consider donating food, volunteering your time, or supporting us financially. During the holidays, to facilitate donations from across Isle of Wight County, strategically placed collection blessing boxes are situated throughout the community. We currently have partnerships with four elementary schools, with a fifth scheduled to join us at the beginning of the year. Several community-focused projects are planned to support our schools and the broader community. It is a well-established fact that, despite the quantity collected, it is insufficient to meet the needs of all those requiring assistance. In light of this, these donations will be allocated to these special projects during the upcoming holiday of giving. Over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the elementary schools on board will receive snacks to help them over their break. The middle and high schools will receive personal hygiene kits. To provide a beacon of hope for our community, we are currently planning upcoming events to continue to help our neighbors. Join us—every contribution, large or small, makes a real difference. We are neighbors helping neighbors. Join Elevate Church and the Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry in blessing children over the holidays this year!

What is the Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry?
The Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry was founded by Wanda Roberts after witnessing a mother and her children living out of a car, highlighting a pressing need in the community. Driven by her generous spirit, she initiated a movement that has benefited countless individuals. With the support of dedicated volunteers, the Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry began its journey to impact lives positively. Just as Wanda took the first step, you can honor her initiative and join this chain of care by taking action yourself.

Mission of the Isle of Wight Community Food Pantry:
