What do you do when you’ve gotten yourself into something you can’t get yourself out of?

In the final message of our No More Whine series, we look at Jesus’ first miracle in John 2—turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana. But this wasn’t just about saving a wedding reception. John calls it a sign. And signs are meant to point us somewhere.

Too often, we wait until we’re at the end of our rope before we look to the Source of our hope. We try to fix it, force it, figure it out, and fight our way through it. Then, when we’ve tried everything else, we finally turn to Jesus.

But Mary shows us a better way: seek out Jesus, speak with Jesus, and surrender to Jesus.

Because what we see in this miracle is simple but powerful: submission to Jesus brings supply from Jesus. And greater is always on the other side of surrender.
